Transportation
Policy, Operations, and Logistics (TPOL)
The Master's degree in Transportation Policy, Operations, and Logistics (TPOL) program is designed for students and practicing professionals engaged in the planning, regulation, management and operation of transportation facilities and services. This 36 credit hour degree program provides students with a working knowledge of the theory, policy, law, research and practices required for effectively and efficiently supplying and operating transportation facilities and services. Students will also be able to think critically and analytically about the problems and challenges in this field, and to communicate their analysts clearly and effectively, both through written and oral presentations.
The Ph.D. degree program prepares students to tackle a wide spectrum of policy problems in an increasingly complex world by exposing them to the latest policy theories, sophisticated methodologies, and cross-culture perspectives.
The School offers a Certificate in Transportation Policy, Operations, and Logistics. This certificate consists of one required course and four elective classes.
Evening classes are convenient for the working professional and are located on our Arlington and Fairfax campuses. For some Master's courses, instruction is available via video teleconferencing
to select sites throughout Virginia
and Montana for state transportation employees.
