International Commerce Program
Curriculum and Program Requirements
(Beginning Fall 2007)
The ICP degree requires 42 credits of graduate work that includes 30 credits of work in core courses (eight classes) and 12 credits of electives (four classes). The complete curriculum includes:
- ITRN 500 - Approaches to International Commerce and Policy
- ITRN
501 - Methods of Analysis for International
Commerce and Policy
- ITRN 503 - Investment and Macroeconomics for International Commerce
- ITRN 504 - Trade and Microeconomics for International Commerce
- PUBP 502 - Governance and Policy Processes
- PUBP 503 - Culture, Organization, and Technology
- ITRN 602 - International Financial Institutions and Globalization
- ITRN 603 - International Trade Relations
- Four electives (12 credits)
Electives
broaden a student’s knowledge of international commerce and
policy and provide practical skills for
the workplace. Students may select electives
from within the School of Public Policy
or from other units of the university.
Electives may be grouped into thematic
areas such as international trade and
finance, international marketing, and
technology and international commerce.
Alternatively students may choose to
study a particular region of the world.
Students may include study
abroad and internship for elective credits.
