Biography

Kenneth A. Reinert is Associate Professor of Public Policy at George Mason University where he received a Distinguished Teaching Award in 2003. He is a Senior Fellow at Trade Partnership Worldwide and a Research Fellow at the Rural Development Research Consortium. Professor Reinert has held the positions of Senior International Economist at the U.S. International Trade Commission and Associate Professor of Economics at Kalamazoo College.
Professor Reinert has published over 45 journal articles and book chapters in the areas of international trade, economic development, and environmental policy. He has co-edited Applied Methods for Trade Policy Analysis: A Handbook (Cambridge University Press, 1997), authored Windows on the World Economy: An Introduction to International Economics (South-Western Thomson, 2005), co-authored Globalization for Development (Palgrave MacMillan and World Bank, 2006), and is currently co-editing the two-volume Princeton Encyclopedia of the World Economy (Princeton University Press). He has consulted for the World Trade Organization, the World Bank, the OECD Development Centre, and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
