Executive
Education at
George Mason University School of Public
Policy
Open Enrollment Programs
In addition to these customized short courses,
the School offers open enrollment programs
on specific topics of immediate interest to
executives requiring knowledge about emerging
trends, advances in specific fields and policy
developments. These programs typically analyze
key domestic and global issues of concern to
both government and business and address how
such issues affect the ability of executives
to accomplish their goals.
Teaching is focused on how to work in and take
advantage of changes in the policy environments
in which executives find themselves. One advantage
of open enrollment programs is that participants
from different agencies and organizations meet
one another and can develop lasting professional
contacts. Success of these programs is measured
by the degree to which participating executives
learn new information and come up with novel
ideas that they can apply directly to their work.
