Professor Louise Shelley wrote the chapter "International Crime, Corruption and Terrorism: Definitions and Tasks," which was published in the book The Current State of International Organized Crime—The World and Japan, edited by Kan Ueda, professor of law in the Department of Law at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan. This book is the second book in the Human Security and Transnational Organized Crime Series, published by Nihon-Hyoron-sya, 2007.
