SESNO
NEWS SPECIAL: CHALLENGES OF KATRINA
Frank
Sesno, University Professor of Public Policy
and Communication, recently worked on two very
timely “CNN
Presents” specials. He produced a six
minute story for a show that first aired on
September 17th about how the civil unrest and
first responder crises associated with Katrina
have forced planners and educators to re-examine
how they prepare for disasters. He
also produced a report for another CNN special,
which aired September 24th, about how a bio-attack
or flu pandemic could be the public health
equivalent of a Category 5 hurricane.
