TRUMAN SCHOLARS AT SPP

24 Truman scholars—elite recent college graduates, chosen by the Truman Foundation to intern at various government agencies and non-profits in the DC area over the summer—will take a year-long class at SPP, which will focus on how things get done in government. The Truman Foundation asked SPP to put together the special course, "Decision-making in the public sector," for the group of scholars, who have chosen to postpone the pursuit of their master’s degrees—education which will be funded by the Truman Foundation—in order to continue working at the jobs they began this summer. A. Lee Fritschler is heading up the effort on behalf of SPP. "We’re thrilled to be working with this group," he says. "And we’re hoping they’ll seriously consider George Mason when deciding where to go for their degrees."
