Adds Three New Courses to Crosslink Master’s Programs
Thanks to three new classes, this year students from each of the six masters
programs offered in the School of Public Policy can learn about the components
of programs outside their own. Public Policy 501, 502 and 503 were created.

of Public Policy Hosts International Meeting of Science and Technology Programs
On July 7 and
8 the School of Public Policy hosted a consortium meeting of national
and international science and technology (S&T) policy programs.
The two-day workshop brought together more than fifty faculty members
and graduate students from academic programs around the world focusing
on science, technology, engineering, and public policy.
Malawer
Attends World Trade Organization Meeting
In June Stuart Malawer, distinguished professor of law and international trade
in the School of Public Policy, attended a three day meeting at the World Trade
Organization (WTO) in Geneva, Switzerland.
Sesno
Moderates Panel on Critical Infrastructure Protection
On June 18th Frank Sesno, professor of public policy and communication and
fellow of the Critical Infrastructure Protection project, moderated an event
bringing together five important policymakers, government officials and corporate
executives discussing the role of government and industry in homeland security.

Welcome New Masters and Doctoral Students to School
More than two hundred students turned out for the new masters
student orientation held at the Arlington campus Original Building Wednesday, August 20. After
a reception with drinks and hors d'oeuvres, during which students had the opportunity
to speak with many of the faculty members in attendance, the group heard Dean
Kingsley Haynes and Professor Roger Stough give an overview of the School of
Public Policy and its programs and research.
