Graduation

Students studying in the School of Public Policy may complete their degrees at the end of any semester – fall, spring or summer term. Degrees are conferred by George Mason University after all requirements have been completed and grades have been submitted. If fall is a student's last semester, the degree is conferred in January; if spring is the last Graduation
semester, the degree is conferred in May; and if summer is the final semester, the degree is conferred in August.

Each year, SPP honors their graduates with a convocation and commencement ceremony. Master's students who have completed their degree requirements in fall, spring or summer semester are invited to participate in the graduation events held in May of each year. Doctoral students who graduate in August are eligible to participate in ceremonies the following year.
