- The Basic Math Refresher provides a review of math concepts with which all SPP students are expected to be familiar. This familiarity is particularly important for those students who are required to take Statistical Analysis for Public Policy (PUBP 704). The math refresher will help you to prepare for these courses.
- Each semester, SPP offers a free one-day math camp (PUBP 555) designed to review fundamental mathematical concepts associated with microeconomics, particularly principles of basic algebra and calculus. Math camp will help you prepare for PUBP 720 (Managerial Economics and Policy Analysis). Students should plan to enroll in the math camp the semester in which they take PUPB 720. Students enrolled in PUBP 720 will receive instructions for registering for the workshop.
- The SPP faculty has created a statistics placement exam for incoming doctoral students to test familiarity with concepts crucial for success in PUBP 804 (Multivariate Statistical Analysis). All incoming students are required to take this placement test, which is used as both a diagnostic and a study guide. Information about this online exam was in your Admissions letter, and additional details will be sent via email.
