Dr. A. Lee Fritschler is a professor in the School of Public Policy at George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia and director of the School of Public Policy's Executive Education program. Prior to joining School of Public Policy, Dr. Fritschler's distinguished career involved being vice president and director of the Center for Public Policy Education at the Brookings Institution, assistant secretary for postsecondary education in 1999, president of Dickinson College from 1987 to 1999, director of the Center for Public Policy Education at the Brookings Institution from 1981-1987, and he served as the chairman of the U.S. Postal Rate Commission. From 1977-1979 Dr. Fritschler was dean of the College of Public and International Affairs at the American University.
Dr. Fritschler is the author of several books and numerous articles and a member of many boards and professional societies. His books include Smoking and Politics: Policy Making and the Federal Bureaucracy, now in its fifth edition. He continues to be a guest lecturer at numerous schools and executive programs.
As director of Executive Education programming at the School of Public Policy, Dr. Fritschler builds on his considerable experience as vice president of the executive education program at the Brookings Institution. Under his leadership, this new program at The School has succeeded by offering both open enrollment and customized seminars for clients including the Inspector General Management Institute, the International Trade Administration, the Indian Management Development Institute, and the European Institute of Public Administration. Dr. Fritschler leads a small staff which is especially adept at tailoring programs to the needs and interests of the client and which can focus on broad issues in both domestic and international policy.

Ms. Littell develops a variety of executive education programs including both open enrollment seminars and programs that are customized for specific clients. She has also created many international training programs including, among others: a four-week training program for a high-level group of European, American, and Japanese managers held on three continents and an annual seminar on the European Union held in Paris and later in Brussels. Ms. Littell has partnered with many international organizations to deliver training programs including the European Institute of Public Administration (the Netherlands); the Council on the U.S.-Italy (Rome), and SITRA (a research organization in Finland which trained the top leadership of the country and brought them to the U.S. for intensive educational seminars) and the European Policy Centre in Brussels.
At the Brookings Institution Ms. Littell's experience included designing and organizing executive programs both in the U.S. and abroad that concentrated on the U.S. political system, policymaking processes, and global political and economic issues. Clients have included leading U.S. business schools such as the MIT Sloan School of Management, Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina, and Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management. Corporate partnerships have included Verizon Corporation, British Telecommunications, AT&T, IBM, Ericsson, and many others over a period of 25 years. Subject matter of the seminars has ranged across key domestic and international policies, tailored to the needs and interests of the client.
